Welcome to STEYER & CO., Certified Public Accountants
In 1982 Joseph P. Steyer, CPA started a small practice in Defiance, Ohio after leaving a larger firm which he founded. He has managed Steyer & Co.`s growth to include four partners and eight professional and clerical personnel doing business with a variety of manufacturing, construction, transportation, retail, health and governmental clients throughout northwest Ohio.
With our leading edge technology, we have far surpassed the traditional role of a CPA firm which has been to provide accounting, tax and auditing services after the fact. We still provide these traditional services but the strength of our firm is the up-front tax and financial planning and consulting we provide to businesses and individuals to assure their financial success.
The firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Private Companies Practice Section. As a member of that section we have undergone periodic external peer reviews covering the quality of our work and firm operations. Our most recent review report was dated September 2005. This was our fifh peer review and all have resulted in an unqualified report.
